Glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) levels are used as a measure of average plasma glucose concentration over prolonged periods of time. Poor patient control correlates with increased HbA1c levels. It is estimated that by the year 2030, the total number of diabetics worldwide will reach 366 million. Such epidemic proportions mean that the measurement of HbA1c represents a significant workload challenge to many laboratories.

From Tosoh, a world leader in HPLC diagnostics, comes the fully automated G8 and GX. Designed to make your HbA1c measurements fast, accurate and easy!

The direct quantitative determination of HbA1c with the G8 and the GX meets the precision and accuracy recommended by the DCCT. With CV’s less than 1%, Tosoh’s G8 is the gold standard for HbA1c measurements!

The non-porous ion exchange HPLC-column and four-steps buffer gradient results in a clear separation of HbA1c from all other fractions and haemoglobin variants. The presence of HbD, HbS and HbC will also be displayed on the chromatogram.
With direct sampling through the cap and automatic preparation of the EDTA samples, all that rests is loading the sample racks and pressing the start button.
