Haematology
Clinical haematology is an intensive, exciting, rewarding and demanding specialty. It includes the study of aetiology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases that affect the production of blood and its components. These include white blood cells, red blood cells, haemoglobin and platelets. It is characterised by a holistic approach to clinical care and encompasses both clinical and laboratory practice.
