Home office: flexible working for you as a pathologist

Reporting in the home office is the next important step towards making the work of pathologists more flexible. With our individual telepathology solutions, we offer you quickly implementable options for digitally diagnosing tissue samples safely from home. Regardless of how far you have already implemented digitization in your pathology laboratory, we will take the next steps with you.

Slide scanners and software for safe and efficient telepathology

Sysmex's 3DHISTECH slide scanners allow you to digitize your slides, quickly and with detailed resolution as a full-surface scan, for both fluorescence and brightfield. For reliable pathological diagnosis, the digital slides can be viewed and analyzed in their entirety, or continuously magnified down to the cellular level. Our scanners are easy to use thanks to intuitive software and, unlike microscope cameras or microscope-based digitization solutions, can be seamlessly integrated into the laboratory process. This means that they can be operated by laboratory staff without the assistance of a pathologist. We offer the optimal digital slide scanner for your sample throughput, whether it is a small scanner for individual slides, a flexibly configurable medium throughput scanner or a high throughput scanner for routine use.

The scanned slides are uploaded to the SlideCenter, a web-based database for your digitized tissue sections and are thus available for reporting from any location. With the SlideViewer virtual microscope, you also have user-friendly software in the home office for diagnostic viewing and further quantification of the digital tissue sections. It is also easy to exchange information with colleagues, for example in the context of a remote tumor conference.

If you already have a software solution in place, we will be happy to advise you on how to integrate our scanners into it.

Two options in a glance

If you only want a few slides in your home office, all you need is a small tissue scanner, for example the Pannoramic DESK II and access to the Internet. Load the digitized slides into the Sysmex SlideCenter and access the data for reporting from any location. Of course, data protection regulations are adhered to. No patient information is stored with the digital slide, and you get secure login access to the SlideCenter.

If you want to perform much of your daily diagnostic routine in your home office, you need a scanner that offers the required throughput, for example the Pannoramic Scan II or the Pannoramic 1000 Flash IV. You then upload the digitized slides to your own SlideCenter, so that your home office staff can access the virtual tissue sections at any time. For seamless integration into your existing workflow, integration into your pathology information system is possible.
