New ways of UTI management at the emergency department
Urinary tract infections (UTI) are all too common, but they’re also a big problem for emergency departments as they can quickly turn serious.
Despite their commonality, the common diagnostic procedure to confirm them is time-consuming (cultures). And interestingly, up to 80% of cultures turn out to be negative for UTI.
In this video our customer from Alicante explain how our UN-Series urinalysis analysers support them in quickly discerning UTIs versus other causes, therein also contributing to a lower amount of inappropriately prescribed antibiotics.
