Scanfeld: dangerous gas leak detection in real-time

Gas leaks are not only dangerous, but they also contribute to harmful emissions and impact the environment. With Scanfeld, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your complex is being monitored 24/7 for both fugitive and non-fugitive gas emissions. Their solution uses FTIR spectroscopy technology to provide highly reliable gas identification, even in challenging conditions, and quickly alert operators in real-time.

Passive FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) is a type of remote sensing technology that uses the infrared radiation naturally emitted by objects in the environment to gather information about them. Unlike active remote sensing, which involves actively illuminating the target with a specific wavelength of light, passive FTIR simply measures the natural radiation emitted by the target. This makes it a non-invasive and non-destructive method for remote sensing, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications, such as atmospheric analysis, environmental monitoring, and remote sensing of planetary bodies. In passive FTIR, the infrared radiation is collected and analyzed using a Fourier Transform spectrometer, which is used to generate a spectrum that provides information about the chemical composition of the target.
